I am a native speaker of both English and Spanish, born and raised in Los Angeles, California, of Peruvian and Mexican descent. My academic focus is Spanish language instruction and medieval and Golden Age Spanish literature.

I have taught ESL to students ranging from Pre-K to adults in both South Korea and the United States. I currently teach Spanish at Yorktown High School in Arlington, Virginia.
Outside the classroom I run The Spanish Doctor on YouTube, where I create instructional content for students of Spanish at all levels. My other interests include photography, computers and music.
